Timeout problem when configuring FileServer Directory Tree path

Hi

I have created a few FileDirectory Tree services within the HQ server all of which seem to be working fine.

However, I created another one yesterday to count subdirs and files on a large server fileshare.I put in the path X:\YYYY and away it goes for some time obviously recursing through all the folders and files until it just gives up and says:

"This resource is turned off or has not been configured properly.
The problem is: Invalid configuration: Unable to connect to xxx.xx.x.x:yyyy: Read timed out
Please turn on the server, or fix its Configuration Properties. "

I looked at the server log and it says:

2011-05-19 13:18:50,080 WARN  [MeasurementEnabler1] [org.hyperic.hq.monitor.aop.aspects.PerformanceMonitor@93] Method exceeded acceptable duration: void org.hyperic.hq.measurement.shared.MeasurementManager.handleCreateRefreshEvents(List) executed in 60561:ms
2011-05-19 13:18:50,111 WARN  [AgentScheduler2] [org.hyperic.hq.monitor.aop.aspects.PerformanceMonitor@93] Method exceeded acceptable duration: void org.hyperic.hq.measurement.shared.MeasurementProcessor.scheduleEnabled(Agent,Collection) executed in 60529:ms

The server cannot obviously complete it's review of the configuration before committing and hence times out.

Is there anything that can be changed to resolve this?

Carl
