Hi,
I've got a CentOS VM running Nagios which we've been using for our monitoring for a while now, which we've decided to eventually replace with Hyperic HQ.
From reading the Hyperic HQ Tour document, there was a section describing how to integrate Nagios into Hyperic, which would help us out a lot during the change-over from one system to another.
I've installed and configured the Hyperic HQ agent on the server, however it didn't automatically detect Nagios, I had to manually add it, which wasn't totally unexpected, since the documentation mentions that it'll only be detected if Nagios was installed under /usr/local. Our install is from the Repoforge repository and the main configuration file is under /etc/nagios/ with the plugins under /usr/lib64/nagios etc....
Once I configured the server with the location of the main configuration file, I expected that it would be able to detect all of the hosts/services which are configured in Nagios, however, this didn't happen. Could one of the reasons be that the main config file doesn't have any of the host/service info itself, but rather includes a whole bunch of other files with this info?
The version of Hyperic that we're running is 4.5.1.
Thank you
