We monitor lots of jboss 4.2 and 5.1 nodes. Lots. Literally dozens.
Out of the "can", after we set HQ up to monitor a JBoss 5.1.0 node, it creates charts for...
Active Thread Count (works)
JVM Total Memory (works)
JVM Free Memory (BLANK)
JVM MAX Memory (BLANK)
Transactions Active (BLANK)
Transactions Committed per Minute (BLANK)
I'd like to at least look at the pair of Transactions charts, populated with actual pertinent data, to determine whether they are of interest as time goes by.
But there is absolutely no question, we want to look at real data on ALL of those JVM Memory charts. 2/3 of them are blank, only one of them works.
I see some clue at a very mean tease of a page at...
http://support.hyperic.com/display/hypcomm/JBoss+5.0+server
...where the table clearly indicates that the charts I complain above about being BLANK are marked in a column titled "Default On" and the value is marked as "false" for these about which I'm most interested.
Nice - they tell me it's off by default, but they don't tell me how to turn it on!
Can anyone tell me where it is documented how to configure ALL the charts which appear on these JBoss 5.x chart pages?
