Monitoring Tomcat 6 via HQ

Hey,

I'm trying to set up tomcat 6 monitoring via hyperic(OS: Ubuntu linux). First of all I activated JMX by copying into tomcat/bin/catalina.sh:
Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8999 -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=localhost"
So now i already can see some stuff by typing jconsole and connecting to my localhost.
No i wanted to extend the JMX-Monitoring with the Hyperic suite, so i tried to intall hq-agent into my tomcat.
I did it the way it is here described: http://www.covalent.net/resource/documentation/tc-server/6.0/ams/DOC/Embedded%20Tomcat%206.0%20server.html
So I first copied the files into my lib|webapps folder and then added the lines into web.xml file.
So now i m not really sure what to do next. Should I see already something? What should I do next?
I havent done this JkMount stuff, cause I ve never heard of JkMount so I assumed I do not use Apache/JK.
I'm quite a newbie in this kind of area, so I would be very grateful for your help or at least for hints to better tutorials(tutorials for newbies :P)

best regards

-S
