I've recently installed Hyperic and am trying to integrate it with an existing Nagios installation. I've installed the agent on two different Nagios servers (production and dev) and in both cases the Nagios auto discovery finds the Nagios server in /usr/local/nagios but doesn't locate any services/plug ins. There is no "Nagios Availability" entry created under the resources masthead, and no services appear under the Nagios server on either platform. I've tried mannually adding a Nagios Plugin service and this will give me the availability option in the masthead, but no data is displayed and the service doesn't seem to actually do anything.
Any suggestions what I can do to get Hyperic to discover my Nagios checks?
I am running the HQ agent as the same user which Nagios runs under, so it has full access to the nagios/libexec directory. This is a critical feature to get working if we are going to adopt Hyperic as we have hundreds of services monitored in our existing Nagios install, including some custom check scripts which would be very time intensive to port.
